Cimaghand Ltd. was founded in August 1974. The primary purpose of the company was to adapt engineering and industrial project execution and cooperation with well-known international companies in Iran’s industrial market. In the early years, company activities were initiated in Cement, Power & Steel industries. Its growth and advancement was due to successful contribution in these markets, which also brought them into Oil, Gas and Petrochemical projects. A good number of creditable western European companies picked Cimaghand as their industrious representative. This also included countries from Asia; Japan, China, South Korea and India.

The Steel Department brought in and introduced major European companies, such as kuttner, oschats, Flender to Mobarakeh Steel Company, Esfahan Steel Company and Khouzestan Steel Company. Our services includes required arrangements during sales negotiation and after sales services.

The Oil and Gas Department was able to offer Licenses and advanced knowledge with the support of Institute France du Petrol Enegie Novelus (IFPEN), and its subsidiaries (Axens and Prosernat). Our highpoint references in this industries are cooperation in different phases of South Pars Gas Complex, Iranian Refineries and Petrochemicals in means of process procurement and knowledge transfer.

The Power department is proud to provide and procure various electromechanical equipment, instrumentations and firefighting tools. We are the sole representative of prominent manufacturers; SCE/South Korea, Hartmann-Exal/Germany, CW-Fluid/South Korea, PCC/South Korea and MetalCAM/Italy.

The Mining department solely represents Neyertec/France, ERGA/Russia and selective international and well-known companies with the purpose of supply of mining equipment and enhancing the process and efficiency of depended industries.

Department of Steel

The Steel Department of Simagand Company was established in 1981 and began its activities by providing services to the country’s steel industry. This department has a long history of collaboration with steel factories such as Mobarakeh Steel, Hormozgan Steel, Saba Steel, Khuzestan Steel, Iranian Alloy Steel, Sirjan Iranian Steel, Kaveh South Steel, Yazd Steel, Khorasan Steel, Bonab Steel, Natanz Steel, Esfahan Industrial Complex, Iranian Alloy Steel, Defense Industries Organization, Khazar Steel, and more.

This department has provided extensive services to the industry by obtaining representation from reputable Asian and European companies such as HEG India, NCO Italy, Kuettner Germany, HUDE Germany, and Donly China.

The activities of the Steel Department include the following:

Supplying graphite electrodes in various sizes for electric arc furnaces for over 25 years from HEG India.
Designing, manufacturing, and supplying spare parts for rolling mill lines from NCO Italy.
Designing processes and manufacturing equipment required for steelmaking, desulfurization, and energy recovery in collaboration with Kuettner Germany.
Designing and implementing coke-making projects and various types of cranes with HUDE.
Supplying electric motors and mechanical transmission equipment such as gearboxes and couplings from Donly China.

It is worth mentioning that Flender Germany, for about 25 years until it was acquired by Siemens Germany, supplied the required equipment and services for Iranian customers through the Steel Department of Simagand.

Department of Oil and Gas

The Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Department of Simagand Company began its activities 25 years ago with the representation of Alfalaval Packinox, France. The introduction of the special heat exchangers from Packinox and their installation in the Shiraz and Isfahan refineries significantly increased gasoline production at these refineries and resulted in a quick return on investment. The department then expanded its cooperation with Prosernat and the French Petroleum Institute (IFPEN) and, with the formation of Axens Company at the French Petroleum Institute, successfully provided technology and licenses for most of the oil and gas refineries in the country. Additionally, the production and supply of various catalysts and adsorbents through AXENS for many petrochemical plants and refineries were made possible. Economic feasibility studies for infrastructure projects are another area where AXENS provided advanced services to the Iranian Ministry of Oil.

In line with supplying the engineering and technologies required for the gas industry, Simagand’s Oil and Gas Group began its cooperation with PROSERNAT France in 1996. All phases of the South Pars Gas Complex (except for phases 17 and 18) received their gas sweetening license for Amin units 101 and 116 from this company. Also, the NGL 3200 projects and the Bidboland Persian Gulf Gas Refinery obtained their gas sweetening licenses through this company. Moreover, the design and construction of desalting units in the South Pars Gas Complex and the Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery, as well as four TEG dehydration units in the Bidboland Persian Gulf Gas Refinery, were also among the services provided by this company.

Supplying packages and heavy equipment for infrastructure projects in the oil and gas industry is another role of Simagand’s Oil and Gas Group. In this regard, supplying large-scale heat exchangers through ALFA LAVAL PACKINOX France, boiler units and heat recovery systems (HRSG) for steam production by SC ENGINEERING from South Korea, process pumps manufactured by PERONI POMPE from Italy, various water and wastewater sweetening packages from TIMEX Turkey, internal reactor components from JOHNSON SCREENS France, and special process valves from HARTMANN EXAL Germany for refineries and petrochemical plants have been part of the department’s activities over the past 20 years.

Department of Power

The Power Department of Simagand Company was established in 1991 with the aim of providing engineering and commercial services to the country’s power industry. Relying on existing capabilities and selected strategies, the company has provided a wide range of innovative services to customers in this sector, successfully completing various projects within the forecasted time and earning customer satisfaction.

Upon entering this field, Simagand Company made significant strides by acquiring representation from prominent European and Japanese companies. One of the first projects was the construction of boilers for the Shahid Rajai Power Plant, designed by IHI Japan and delivered with the participation of local manufacturers.

Since maintenance and overhaul of power generation units require original parts, the company is capable of supplying the necessary equipment in the following areas, or providing similar products to the relevant power plants:

Supply of mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, and fire-fighting parts
Supply of parts for electricity and steam generation units
Supply of power plant overhaul packages
Manufacture of critical and sensitive parts with quality equal to the original manufacturer under the full supervision of the customer

Department of Cement

The Cement Department of Simagand Company is the first specialized department in Iran for supplying equipment needed by industries. This department has a long history of cooperation with various cement factories, including Khuzestan Cement, Hormozgan Cement, Eastern Cement, Karun Cement, Saveh White Cement, Ardabil Cement, Dorood Cement, and Behbahan Cement.

The Cement Department, with representations from companies such as Fives France, Barbieri Italy, Kawasaki Japan (designer and manufacturer of complete cement lines), and CDI China, has successfully supplied the main equipment for complete cement plant lines, including mills for raw materials and cement, various gearboxes, motors, and their spare parts, providing significant services to domestic industries.

Designing and constructing complete cement plant lines for Behbahan Cement, Dorood Cement, Ardabil Cement, and Fars No Cement.
Supplying kilns for Khuzestan Cement, Hormozgan Cement, Eastern Cement, Karun Cement, and Saveh White Cement.
Supplying molten material conveyor belts for Mobarakeh Steel Company in Isfahan.

Department of Mining

The Mining Department of Simagand Company is the second oldest department in the company after the Cement Group. The main activity of this section is the supply of necessary equipment for the country’s mining sector in various areas such as exploration, extraction, and mineral processing. This department, in order to provide appropriate solutions to address the challenges faced by mining industry players, holds exclusive representation for renowned companies from Western European countries, Russia, South Africa, and China. Notably, it has exclusive representations of prestigious European brands such as Neyrtec Mineral and Erga.

Additionally, the company is capable of supplying mining machinery, including shovels, dump trucks, drilling machines, bits, and all related equipment for processing plants such as various crushers and mills, classification equipment, beneficiation equipment, thickeners, filters, material handling systems, water recycling equipment, and various pumps.

It is worth mentioning that Simagand can coordinate the design of production lines on an industrial scale, supply related equipment, and perform laboratory and semi-industrial tests by foreign or Iranian partners. In other words, Simagand is capable of constructing and commissioning turnkey mineral processing plants.

Supplying the complete mechanism and drive system (Drive Units) for the 12m and 24m thickeners at the Songun Molybdenum Complex.
Supplying filter presses for the Khatoonabad smelting and refining project.
Designing, modeling, and conducting pilot tests in France, and supplying hydrocyclone clusters for ICC Kaolin (Iranian China Clay Company).
Supplying abrasive scrubbers for silica purification, hydrocyclones, paste thickeners, and high-intensity dry magnetic separators for Kaveh Glass Industrial Group.
Supplying filter presses, gearboxes, bits, and other equipment for iron ore mines including Sangan, Chadormalu, and Golgohar.
