Oil and Gas Department
The Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Department of Simaqand Company began its activities 25 years ago as a representative of Alfalaval Packinox Company of France. The introduction of Pekinax’s special plate heat exchangers and their installation in the Shiraz and Isfahan refineries at the very beginning led to a significant increase in gasoline production in these refineries and a rapid return on investment. The Oil and Gas Department then expanded its cooperation with Prosernat and the French Petroleum Institute (IFPEN), and with the formation of Axens, a subsidiary of the French Petroleum Institute, it succeeded in providing technology and licenses for most of the country’s oil and gas refineries. Manufacturing and supplying various types of catalysts and adsorbents through AXENS Company became possible for many petrochemical plants and refineries. Economic feasibility studies for infrastructure projects are another project in which AXENS provided its advanced services to the Iranian Ministry of Oil. Over the years, in order to increase productivity and support operations, various training services have been provided to crude oil and downstream product production units.
In order to provide the engineering and technologies needed by the gas industry, Simaqand Oil and Gas Group began its cooperation with the French company PROSERNAT in 1996. All phases of the South Pars Gas Complex (except for phases 17 and 18) received gas sweetening licenses for Amine Units 101 and 116 from this company. Also, the NGL 3200 projects and the Bidboland Gas Refinery in the Persian Gulf have secured their sweetening licenses through this company. In addition to offering innovative sweetening technologies, PROSERNAT offers a complete portfolio of advanced gas industry technologies in the fields of sulfur recovery, desalination, desalination, MEG regeneration and recycling, natural gas liquefaction, and carbon dioxide recovery. Another field of activity of PROSERNAT Company is the design, construction and implementation of modular offshore and onshore units. In this context, the company was responsible for the design and construction of Desalter desalination units in the South Pars Gas Complex and the Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery, as well as 4 TEG desalination units in the Bidboland Gas Refinery in the Persian Gulf.
Providing packages and heavy equipment for infrastructure projects in the country’s oil and gas industry is another role of Simaqand Company’s oil and gas group. In this regard, the supply of large plate heat exchangers through the French company ALFA LAVAL PACKINOX, boiler units and heat recovery and steam generation by the South Korean company SC ENGINEERING, process pumps manufactured by the Italian company PERONI POMPE, various water and wastewater desalination packages through the Turkish company TIMEX, reactor internal parts from the French company JOHNSON SCREENS, as well as special process valves from the German company HARTMANN EXAL for refineries and petrochemical plants are part of the activities of this department over the past 20 years.
